The Garradon Herd of pedigree Ruby Red Devon cattle was established in 1995 by Angus and Joy Cottey. Cows were purchased from The Halsbury Herd (Slee), the Hackpen Herd (Robinson), the West Hele Herd (Ross) and Woodscombe Herd (Bitmead). Sires were selected carefully from the Forde Abbey Bywood and Hackpen herds before purchase of Cutcombe Jaunty, who became the stock bull for the Garradon Herd. The herd is true to type, faithfully keeping horned and polled pure animals. All bulls used have been from the pure breed register.
