The herd of Pedigree Devon’s has been entered in the national herd competiton several times with good success, especially since the herd has only been established for 9 years.

The herd came 2nd in the medium herd category in 2003 and 3rd in 2004, however livestock were taken to Mid Devon , North Devon, Dunster and Dorset County Show ( Dorchester) in 2004 for the first time –

The results speak for themselves:

Mid Devon, 3rd and 5th with a pair of yearling heifers

North Devon, 4th and 7th with a pair of yearling heifers

Dunster, 1st and 2nd in yearling class, 1st for the pair and reserve interbreed pair

Dorset, 1st and 2nd in yearling class.

We have a good base of breeding animals and subject to retention and availability there is usually stock for sale direct from the farm
